YouTube Slap In 2010 - What Are Your Options And How To Deal With It? (YouTube Slap)

YouTube is on the prowl. Some of my fellow marketers’ YouTube accounts has been shut down without any valid reasons given in the past few days. YouTube slap as what some marketers’ call it; is one of the big boys, the others being (Facebook,Google,Twitter,Yahoo) can basically do what they want. My account as at today is still active but I think it won’t be long before they reach to me. How do you ensure your YouTube account is not disabled for any reason. No, you can’t. However, there are a few tips that you can follow to reduce the chances your YouTube account is not close in 2010 or future,as well as your videos on your marketing funnel or website (blog) remain active.
1. Do not have multiple YouTube accounts
I can’t be harsh with this point because I have multiple YouTube accounts opened one year ago in different niches still active as at today. I sincerely don’t have any idea how strict YouTube management team on this matter but I do know they have close multiple accounts belong to my fellow marketers. Please let me know if you guys have any ideas.
2. Do not submit videos with automated software
I think any automated software is bad for YouTube. I am sure you have heard that TubeBlasterPro users got into trouble many months ago and I do think Traffic Geyser is no exception. You can still use Traffic Geyser to upload videos to multiple other video sites but upload your videos to YouTube manually. Don get me wrong. Traffic Geyser is the best video automated software out there in the market.
3. Don’t promote other’s company blatantly
I have seen my fellow friends YouTube account shut down just because promoting other’s people company. What I can advice here is to put website address in the description box and insert into your video.
4. Use free video hosting services like Viddler or Metcafe
Use free video hosting services like Viddler or Metacafe that somehow is much safer and secure if you want to put your website or marketing funnel videos there.
6. Respect copyright rules and guidelines in your YouTube video
Do not use any copyrighted pictures ,screen shots or video clips which is not yours on your YouTube account without any permission. You can check your profile setting on YouTube and see whether it is in order.
There are no restrictions on YouTube slap or regulations to follow that will help your YouTube account remain active as long as you want. They can basically shut down any videos they want anytime even you follow some of the other tips listed above. What I have listed here are those of my experiences with YouTube, talking to my fellow marketers and also picking other’s marketers mistakes on other resources. Please leave me comments or share with me and other marketers your experiences with YouTube or informations on YouTube that is valuable which is not cover here.
